Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse


Chocolate and peanut butter combined into a luscious mousse; can it get any better? This chocolate mousse is a healthier alternative to your regular chocolate mousse. It is made with silken tofu, dark chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla, seeds, dates and some maple syrup. The perfect dessert for if you are feeling a bit indulgent!

Recipe (makes 2 glasses):


  • 5 medjool dates
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds (or any other nut or seed)
  • 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon peanut butter
  • pinch of salt


  • 400 grams silken tofu
  • 100 grams melted dark chocolate
  • 1 big tablespoon of peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt



  1. Blend the crust ingredients together in a food processor.
  2. Take 2 glass jars or ramekins and press the dough onto it. 
  3. Blend the silken tofu with the peanut butter, cacao powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract and salt.
  4. While this is blending, slowly pour the dark chocolate into the mixture and let it blend until everything is combined.
  5. Divide the mousse between the two jars or ramekins and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  6. If you have some dough left, crumble it on top and also drizzle some dark chocolate and peanut butter on top of the mousse.
  7. Enjoy!
